Ken Tipchai
Ken Tipchai is a seasoned tattoo artist with well over 20 years of tattooing experience. As a graduate from Pohchang Academy of Arts, one of Thailand's most prestigious art universities, Ken is well versed in tattooing a wide variety of tattoo styles. He prides himself in being able to take what the client has in mind, and then transform that into a beautiful piece that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Ken’s most satisfying moments in his career have been the times he sees his client's smile after receiving a tattoo that only moments ago lived solely in their imagination.
Growing up in Thailand where tattoo equipment was not easy to come by, Ken has extensive experience in making his own tattoo needles, and tattoo machines. This, coupled with his education and experience, has given him a rarely found balance of having a deep understanding of, not only the artistic side of tattooing, but also the practical under-the-hood side as well.
Before settling in New York City, where he now calls home, Ken had worked in Thailand, India and Korea. Currently, Ken is working at his private studio and at Yant Studio. Ken has mentored apprentices and artists.
